Having previously helped IPTCI use interactive technology to streamline business processes, the wholesale distributer of mounted bearings knew we were the nerds to develop their website.
The key feature of the new site is a searchable online version of their machine parts catalog, including 3-D representations of every product, their dimensions, descriptions, customized prices per customer, and product manuals.
The site generates PDFs nightly from their business system with prices for each product in the style of their printed product catalog, which is now obsolete and no longer in production. IPTCI’s new site makes it much easier to help customers get their bearings.
There was a point when some were skeptical of the timely completion of the project. I took it upon myself to completely scrap and rewrite a code defect overnight, a task that could have easily taken 40 hours. It shows that even projects that are seemingly impossible can usually be solved by a streak of persistence and creativity.
