Polaris Systems Adopts Sierra Bravo's B2B Online Store as Their E-Commerce Solution
Polaris Systems of Greensboro, North Carolina, signed an agreement with Sierra Bravo to adopt Sierra Bravo’s B2B Online Store as an integrated E-Commerce module for their wholesale distribution package.
Polaris Systems offers distribution software for the automotive industry and was looking for a solution to provide a mature E-commerce solution to their customers. Sierra Bravo’s B2B Online Store was a logical choice due to its ability to tie into an existing business application.
Sierra Bravo offers an online store solution that is designed to integrate completely into an existing business system. Software engineers from both companies are working together to develop the interface between the online store and Polaris Systems’ business application.
“We are excited about this new partnership between our companies and feel that our solution will effectively ‘drop in’ to provide a comprehensive E-commerce solution to Polaris Systems’ customers at a price point well below the industry average,” said Luke Bucklin, President of Sierra Bravo Corporation. This cooperative relationship will provide Polaris System’s clients with an online ordering system that offers accurate and up-to-the-second information. “Business owners have higher standards for online business practices and the basic ‘order pad’ is truly a thing of the past. People want immediate and accurate pricing and product availability information that they can trust, but they also want to review past orders and see the status of pending orders,” explains Bucklin.
Polaris Systems expects to have their first customer online with the E-commerce module before the end of 2004.
