Biz Journal: Nerdery's 'Overnight Challenge' helps 18 nonprofits
by Mark Reilly
Techies coded for 24 hours straight over the weekend to help build new websites for nonprofit groups, part of an annual event hosted by tech firm The Nerdery.
The Pioneer Press has a report on Bloomington-based Nerdery's Overnight Challenge (along with a neat slideshowfeaturing lots of tired-looking developers). The challenge breaks 180 developers into teams that each work to build the best-possible new site for a nonprofit group.
Participating nonprofits this year included West African Medical Missions and the Center for Homicide Research.
