Rapid Route AI: Helping save lives through optimized emergency response
Empower your state agencies with Rapid Route AI, a data-driven solution powered by Google Cloud, that leverages machine learning to analyze crash data and optimize EMS placement, ensuring faster, more efficient emergency response times.
Every minute of delay after a severe crash increases the potential for a traffic fatality. Knowing this, a state Department of Public Safety (DPS) wanted to dramatically improve emergency medical services (EMS) response times. By analyzing crash and dispatch data and applying machine learning models, we identified 30 optimal new EMS locations in underserved areas. This strategic placement resulted in a potential 13-minute reduction in EMS response time and an 8-mile decrease in travel distance. This data-driven solution helps the DPS move closer to meeting national safety standards and ultimately, saving more lives.
